HPS PTO Accomplishments
Since forming in the fall of 2021, HPS PTO has been busy supporting our students, teachers and school by providing resources, activities and events which enrich the overall experience for everyone at HPS.
Fundraising
Annual "Leprechaun Loot" fundraiser
Held in March each year raising up to $2400 per year

Annual HPS Fun Run
Held each fall raising up to $25,000 per year

Restaurant Nights
Held yearly at local restaurants raising up to $500 per year

NEW IN 2025 - HPS PTO School Store
HPS Swag for sale
Contributions
Provide volunteers and decorations for themed lobby displays and theme weeks throughout the year

Participate in Trick or Treating, Rock Your School, and the Read Across America Carnival
~
Partnered with the Peacock Performing Arts Center to provide a school-wide fieldtrip for all students and staff
~
Donuts with Grownups for all students, staff, and families
~
Turkey Trot for all students, staff, and families
~
Fund House Game inflatables for the end of the school year
~
Host the 2nd grade dance for all 2nd graders
~
Provide free books for all students as well as photos with Santa
~
Sponsor a variety of teacher appreciation events and activities
(i.e. - Teacher Appreciation Week, Mini-Spa Day, Breakfast in December, and a special treat during the back-to-school teacher workdays)

Provide funds for supplies and resources for HPS STEM night
Additional Achievements

Launched HPS PTO website and Facebook page to communicate with parents and supporters of HPS

Established regular HPS PTO newsletters

Reestablished the Box Tops for Education program for HPS

Applied for and received 501(c)(3) status as a federally tax-exempt public organization
